In both fairy tales and real life, the most exquisite jewels usually adorn the fairest royal princesses, parlaying an air of regal elegance and stately importance. For the wonderful world of Walt Disney, the most famous of make-believe princesses will finally have their magnificent jewels thanks to Chopard.
Collaborating with Harrods, the two have partnered to create a Haute Joaillerie collection inspired by Disney’s most beloved animated ladies. The jewels reflect each of the princesses stories, personalities and homelands, colorfully glistening in a vast array of precious gems.
From Snow White’s infamous poison apple designed as a juicy red ruby ring to Rapunzel’s illustrious long locks imagined as a rose gold pavé diamond sautoir, Chopard’s jewels elicit that magical world Disney so beautifully creates on screen, enchanting all little girls at one point or another.
The collection will be shown exclusively at Harrod’s until January with all of these one-off pieces available for sale.
Belle by Chopard
Chopard’s Belle necklace, earrings and ring were inspired by Belle’s iconic layered, yellow dress. Mirroring the frills of the dress, the necklace’s scalloped edge gracefully wraps around the neck, centrally anchored with a spectacular 69-carat pear-shaped tanzanite drop. The graduating color of the necklace, which represents the changing shades of life, begins with blue round sapphires swimming through varying purples and violets with marquise-cut and oval amethysts. Shifting into vibrant shades of magenta, the necklace progresses with pear, square and round-shaped rubellites followed by morganites, kunzites and spinels. Rounding out the final portion before connecting back with the tanzanite are round pink and white diamonds coupled with heart-shaped pink sapphires.
