The season’s first winter storm is now upon us, bringing with it the first snowfall for some areas in the Northeast. As I write, scattered flurries of snow are intermittently falling in New York.
Beginning high in the clouds, infinite frozen ice crystals come together to form snowflakes that blanket the north in swaths of white snow each year. With endless possibilities where no two are alike, this natural wonder has inspired jewelers to create spectacular jewels in its image with glistening diamonds and other precious gems. While nature’s version surely shines on its own, the jeweled version brings that extra special splendor to wintry weather’s brightest star, the snowflake.
In the midst of our first winter storm, I’ve gathered some of the finest snowflake jewels around. Be safe and keep warm!
