During my lunch break today, I popped over to the New York Antique Jewelry & Watch Show to pick up my press pass and do a quick lap around the venue. Even at 1.30pm, only a half hour after the show opened, the place was buzzing with energy and already packed with jewelry collectors, dealers and enthusiasts.
I’ll be back tomorrow for the day to report on what’s new and exciting from the exhibitors at the show, of which there are notably fewer than the Miami and Las Vegas shows.
For me, the best part of this show is that it is a stone’s throw away from work and home! I can’t wait to return tomorrow to scout for some great finds and hunt for hidden treasures among the jam-packed booths stocked full of glittering jewels.
The smaller size makes it much easier to browse each booth within a couple of hours or so; but if time is really limited, exhibitors definitely worth visiting include:
Betteridge (Booth 1006)
Camilla Dietz Bergeron (Booth 6002)
DeYoung Collection (Booth 1020)
Excalibur (also Booth 1006)
Faerber New York (Booth 1003)
Hancocks (Booth 2015)
McTeigue (Booth 2013)
Morelle Davidson (Booth 2009)
Neil Marrs (Booth 6001)
Pat Saling (Booth 4002)
Raymond Lee Jewelers (Booth 3010)
Robin Katz Vintage Jewels (Booth 3000)
Yafa Signed Jewels (Booth 1005),
A special thank you to Somers Design for organizing the press pass for me – and for all their hard work on all the visuals for the show!
The show is located at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 W. 18th Street (between 6th and 7th Ave), New York, NY 10011.
Show Dates: July 26th – 29th, 2013
