Feathers are one of my favorite motifs in jewelry.  It’s almost impossible not to swoon for feathery wisps of diamonds, particularly when they so elegantly adorn the ear as they do in my current jewelry obsession.

The iconic feather design features center diamonds weighting approximately 1.20 carats with an additional 2.50 carats of smaller diamonds. Mounted in platinum with a clip back, they beautifully grace the ear and are guaranteed to work magic at any celebratory occasion. 1 3/8″ L X 5/8″ W.

This pair of diamond and platinum earrings, circa 1930s, from Steven Fox Jewelry beautifully interprets the feather’s subtle curves and individual plumes using diamonds and gracefully sculpted platinum.  Sophisticated and in true late Art Deco form, I can easily see these earrings perfectly fitting in at one of Great Gatsby’s outrageous parties.
