Jewel Laureate: David Webb’s Laurel Leaf Necklace

JO David Webb

For my current jewelry obsession, let’s pay homage to the first ever Olympics with this exquisite Laurel Leaf Necklace by David Webb.  Golden laurel leaves, with rays of pave diamonds set in platinum, form a majestic necklace that  imbues the grandeur and glory of ancient Greece and the laurel leaf wreaths that crowned its Olympian victors.

A frequent visitor of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, David Webb utlized this great treasure trove for inspiration, from the Met’s priceless paintings to its ancient objects.  Case in point: this opulent necklace is just one of the results from many Webb’s inspiring visits.
