Red, White, Blue & Gold

LG 2

This Friday, America celebrates its Day of Independence with all the pomp and circumstance befitting the celebratory occasion. Fireworks, parades, hot dogs and hamburgers are among the favorite festivities of this annual holiday feting the birth of the United States of America, a day thoroughly decorated in Old Glory’s triumvirate of colors. Red, white and blue ornaments abound on the Fourth, and oftentimes a bit of gold finds its way into the mix of patriotic hues.

In honor of America’s Independence Day, I’ve found a few vintage jewels that revere my home country with red, white and blue gems set in glittering yellow gold – a quartet of incredibly powerful and reverent colors that symbolize the freedom and liberty we commemorate on our nation’s birthday.
