Since launching in December 2013, Nadia Morgenthaler has quietly become one of the top fine jewelry designers you need to know now. The Geneva-based designer, who has over 20 years of experience creating jewelry for other designers, is coming to New York for the first time this week to show this side of the Atlantic her exquisite pieces.
Delicate designs, feminine forms and exceptional craftsmanship are at the heart of Morgenthaler’s designs. Inspired largely by architecture as well as the world around her, her pieces interpret everything from the limestone arches of historic buildings to the ornate wrought-iron fences of a garden. In a pair of earrings reminiscent to glorious chandeliers of a bygone era, pearls in pretty shades of light gold, cream and pink glow in their blackened metal metal settings intricately studded with diamond accents. Morgenthaler’s aesthetic is graceful to the core, beautifully constructed with a studied sense of proportion and line. It is not over-the-top but serenely refined, allowing the gems and their soft colors coalesce seamlessly. Though making only a few pieces each year, what she has produced is nothing short of pure beauty.
From May 3 through May 8, Morgenthaler will bring her precious collection to New York, holding her first private viewing here at the Mark Hotel. To make an appointment, please email info@nadia–
